So sorry to hear about your mom. We truly enjoyed making her day once a month on your behalf. Please pop in to say hello when you are in town, Barb, Janet, Roberta and Helene

From: Paul Morris

In fond memories of Aunt Dorothy. There are so many of them -- from Snake River to Greece. One in particular sticks out. Poor Aunt Dorothy staying calm and collected in the middle of a canoe as she was piloted across a lake in northern Ontario with her two supremely inexperienced guides -- our first solo trip in a canoe -- Stephen and Paul Morris. All of our best wishes to Mike and Judy and their respective families. From Paul, Natalia, Shirley and Sarah (who regularly plays on the Murdock piano -- we'll be thinking of Aunt Dorothy)

From: Elaine Kell

Dear Dorothy, always so beautifully dressed and groomed. I was her church visitor for a short time and enjoyed our tea times at 140 William street. From the choir loft it was a pleasure to see she and Sam in their usual pew and Dorothy continued to sit there. She was a faithful UCW unit member and supported our efforts even when she could no longer bake. We had many enjoyable conversations about her trips to the Northwest territories and I discovered her daughter Judy knew mutual friends, Betty and Alan Vaughan. Dorothy loved her weekly flower delivery from Judy. I will miss her very much.

On behalf of the Hannah Unit, UCW, Cambridge St. United Church, I would like to express my sincere sympathy to the Murdock family. Dorothy was very much a vibrant part of our group and she will be very much missed. She was always eager to help and be a working part of our UCW family. We have and will continue to miss her. Our thoughts are with you all at this time. With sympathy, Rose

Memories of Aunt Dorothy keep popping to the surface despite many years of her being 'east' and me being 'west'. I remember a wonderful evening at the cottage with Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Sam, who were meeting and welcoming my new partner Dan, and walking down memory lane with all the ephemera they had collected and mounted to show their visitors. A lovely reminder that we are all tied to the past and each of us is part of the future. Dorothy and Sam never forgot that truth - and shared it with others. Will be missed and memories cherished.

From: Florence and Andy Skilling

We wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Murdoch family. We always enjoyed our talks with Dorothy and Sam over a cup of coffee at Tim Hortons , or at Church. Dorthy was a gracious lady .

We were so saddened to learn of Dorothy's passing on Friday. Dot was like our "Mom" too, as we grew closer with Judy & her wonderful family over the years. It was always a pleasure & a special occasion when we were blessed to have both Dot & Sam in our home, Casa en Suenos, across the Street from Judy's.It is comforting to know that Dorothy's love is forever - nothing can take it from you, for it lives in your hearts & your memories & is part of all that you do. May the wonderful memories of her love be with you and embrace you at this time.In love & service always, Arthur & Dale

From: John and Lynne Glenney

We are very sorry to hear of Dorothy's death. She and Sam were very good friends with my parents (Charlie and Helen Glenney) and we tried to continue that friendship. We enjoyed talking with them at church over the years; more recently, we were always excited to see the elegant Dorothy at church sitting in her usual pew. I would often sit beside her to keep her company. She was always in good spirits. We will miss her.
