Passed away at Caressant Care McLaughlin Road, Lindsay on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of Irene Blyth. Loved father of Ken Blyth (Joan) of Holland Landing and Linda Cook (Doug predeceased) of Lindsay. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren John Blyth (Wendy), Ken Blyth (Ann), Gary Blyth, David Blyth (Carman), Cheryl Raven (Shawn), D.J. Cook (Rebecca) and Jodi Cook (Mike Smoke), 19 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jack was born in Toronto to parents Grace (nee Wallace) and Louis Blyth. Predeceased by his sister Margueritte Tapley (Gordon) and inlaws Nellie Boyd (Norm), Grace Harrison (Jack (living), John Gould (Ina), Ken Gould (Anne (living)), Robert Gould and Maurice Gould. Survived by his inlaws Aubrey Gould (Helen), Elda Sedore (Louis) and Bill Gould. He lived in Oak Ridges most of his life where he was self employed in real estate and insurance. Jack was a member of the King City Masonic Lodge, charter member of Oak Ridge’s Lions Club and founding elder of St. Paul’s United Church, Oak Ridges. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay K9V 0A2 on Monday, October 24th from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, October 25th from 11:30 am until time of service in the chapel at 1:00pm.
