From: Katie Simkins, Keith, Cameron and Tate Ryan

Mark, the memories are endless. Some of my fave moments shared with you are: making our home movies, watching my dad snore on the couch, playing with your WWF wrestlers, roasting marshmallows in your fireplace, basketball games in the driveway, walks to the lake and climbing on trees, running through sprinklers in your backyard, and our random hotel adventures as kids. My most favourite memory is watching our kids play together at family get togethers...! My heart is broken that this list of memories will not continue but I promise you they will live on! We will miss you tremendously! Love you!!!!

From: Jenn and Bill Fraser

Please pass on to the boys... Once upon a time there was a group of water beetles. They were all very close family and friends. Every once and a while, one little beetle would head to the surface, but not return. This saddened the others. One little guy was so devastated that he decided he was going to go to the surface and then come back and tell everyone why their friends and family were not returning. As he reached the surface he felt the warmth of the sun on his face. It was so nice he thought he would sit on the leaf and enjoy the sun for just a little while. When he went to stand up, he streched and out popped two little wings!! He became a dragon fly!! While flying around he met great new friends and had so much fun, he almost forgot about his friends and family below. He had told them he would return but realized he could not, because he would get his little wings wet. This saddened him but he came to realize that every one of them would eventually come to the surface to join him as a dragonfly, and that even though he didn't get a chance to say goodbye, it was not forever. He would see them once again.

It is with heavy hearts that we send our condolences to Mark's family and friends. Our paths crossed ever so briefly over the years at Christmas or summer family reunions and I have so many special individual memories that I reflect upon with happiness. In the fast few years my youngest son Aaron was able to meet Sam & Jack to play & laugh together. The last time I saw Mark was at Mike's wedding where he talked passionately about his life and love he expressed to his brother and sister in law. I was deeply moved by his words so much so that I approached him, gave him a hug and told him how proud I was of him. I am sure the hug caught Mark off guard as we had only shared a few words about work and family over the short yearly encounters we had together. I am very happy we shared that moment and it will remain with me forever. I only have fond memories of Mark and his family and the gift of those moments will always be with us. From: Helen Viveiros
