Peacefully in his sleep with Vera, his wife of 63 years, at his side on Tuesday, December 13, 2016. Loving father of Ken (Jane) Staples, Linda (Kevin) Burnett and Patsy Staples (Garry Bacon). Grandpa of Andrew Staples, Katherine (Doug) Peel, Lauren Staples (Scott Smith), Marcus (Lindsay) Churcher, Chantel Churcher (Connor Power). Great Grandfather of Emily and Carson Peel, Lily Smith, Julia Churcher and the late Liam Smith. Dear brother of Glen (Margaret) Staples and the late Ray (Marion) Staples. Brother-in-law of Shirley and the late Gilbert Magill. Willy will always be remembered by his friends and customers at Wilson Tire, the Moose Lodge and his fellow brothers at the Masonic Lodge #77.  Family and friends are invited to Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Thursday, December 15 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM with a Moose Lodge Service at 6:45 PM and on Friday, December 16 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM with a Masonic Service at 6:45 PM.  Funeral Service to take place in the chapel on Saturday, December 17 at 11:00 AM.  Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Reception to follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #67, 12 York Street North, Lindsay.
