William "Bill" John Stewart

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William John Stewart, who passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 at Ross Memorial Hospital. Where he was treated with dignity and respect for an extended period of time. Loved and missed by his wife, Ruth Stewart of 57 years and children, Chris Stewart, Troy Stewart (Bev), and Tammy Blacklock. Papa will be missed by all his grandchildren and his great grandchildren. He is son of the late William and Kay Stewart. Brother to Lillian (Bob) Leeson, Mary (Lennard) Nesbitt, Linda (Dave) Thomas, Barbara (Clare) Debnam, Cathy Fader and Ron Stewart. Brother In-Law to, Ken (Angelika) Lawton. Predeceased by Marlene (Gary) Sproule and Ted (Lynn) Lawton. He will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Billy was a hardworking and dedicated man who proudly owned and operated Bill’s Spraying Service for many years. Though his self-employment, he built not only a business in Manilla but lasting relationships in the community, earning respect for his reliability, integrity, and strong work ethics. Our family is especially grateful for the many years of friendship and support from Gunnar, Lorna and Kenneth and Cathy. Celebration of life to follow in the spring.
