With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Wannetta Dorothy Thornington, who was called home on October 24,2025. Though her earthly journey has ended, her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who loved her.

Wannetta was the devoted wife and lifelong best friend of David Thornington, whose love stood beside hers through every walk of life. She was a dear daughter to Dorothy Danilko and Ross Truax (predeceased) She was a nurturing and gentle mother to Sean Hurren and Crystal Harrison (Mike), and a proud, adoring “Mama” to her precious grandchildren — Katelyn, Addison, Mason (Oliver), Owen, Nathan, and Liam — each one a bright spark in her heart.

She was a beloved sister to Vince (Patti), Linda (predeceased), Connie, (Jim) and Janice, also a loyal friend to many who found in her a safe place, a warm smile, and a caring soul.

Wannetta lived her life with quiet grace and endless compassion. She had a gift for making everyone feel seen and loved — her laughter could lift a heavy heart, and her wisdom brought calm to troubled days. Her home was a place of warmth, her table always open, her arms always ready to embrace those who needed comfort.

She loved deeply, gave freely, and found joy in the simple, beautiful moments — the sound of her grandchildren’s laughter, the comfort of family gathered close, the peace of a quiet morning shared with those she loved most.

Though our hearts ache with her absence, we are forever grateful for the love she gave so freely — love that will live on in every memory, every smile, every story told in her name.
