Ted Johnson

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Ted at his home, surrounded by family, on May 12th, 2023.

Ted was born in Markham in 1941. He worked for the Region of Durham while living in Sunderland with his wife of 58 years Jean. And children Sue (Paul), Ed (Sharon), Kathy (Dave), and Tammy.

Retirement came with a move to Downeyville to be closer to his grandsons Mike (Erin), Matt (Jenna), Kody (Ashley), and Dallas.

Ted, was Chief of the Sunderland Fire Department for many years, an avid sports fan, and travelled Canada from coast to coast.

Our family thanks Aleshia, Lisa, and Johanna for supporting Ted’s care at home, and Dr. Vorster for his many years of care.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place, Sunday June 11th, from 1 – 4 pm. at 627 St. Lukes Road, Downeyville.
