Passed away suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, November 16th, 2010 in her 48th year. Beloved wife of Philip Greenwell of Lindsay. Cherished mother of Laura of Lindsay and Ken of Macklin, Saskatchewan. Loved daughter of Ed LaPorte and the late Laura Mae LaPorte of Haliburton. Loved step daughter of Linda LaPorte. Survived by her brothers and sisters Junior LaPorte (Jeannie) of Cambray, Dale LaPorte (Cindy) of Oakwood, Marilyn Espie (Dave) of Lindsay, Sandra Pripp (John) of Haliburton and Chris LaPorte (Lisa) of Whitby, step brothers and sisters Charlie, Mike, Phil and Dianne. Daughter-in-law of Marjorie Mackie of Haliburton. Sister-in-law of Jeanie Greenwell of Calgary and predeceased by her brother-in-law Steven Mackie. Susan will be sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Thursday, November 18th, 2010 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm and on Friday, November 19th from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm. Funeral service to take place in the chapel on Friday, November 19th at 2:30 pm. There will be a reception to follow at the residence of the late Ray Nesbitt, 2014 Little Britain Road. Interment of cremated remains to take place at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay on Wednesday, November 24th, 2010 at 3:00pm. In memoriam donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family and can be arranged by Parker Funeral Home 705-324-1988.
