Shirley Ann (Prentice) Dart

Our beloved & cherished Mom Shirley Ann (Prentice) Dart passed away on December 28,2022 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, ON. She was surrounded by her family & went peacefully after a courageous struggle to live with her illness. She was born July 10, 1934. She was married at 17 years old to her beloved the late Douglas Robert Dart. She raised five children Gord (Nancy), Beverley (Don), Steve (Margaret), Ernie (Dorothy), Judy (late Al Frew). One of eight children survived by her sister Barb of Fenelon Falls. Survived by grandchildren Diane, Illene, Nick, Natasha, Chris and Ryan. Great grandchildren Kaleb, Anthony and many more. A pig farmer's wife who loved to bake, knit and was Mom to everyone she knew. A very special and genuine lady who will be forever loved & remembered in our hearts. Donations can be sent to Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Kidney Foundation. Visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Centre on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Celebration of Life will take place on July 10, 2023 in Barrie, ON.
