Sharon Douglass Grant (nee Miller)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sharon Grant (née Miller), a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Born in Lindsay, Ontario, Sharon built a life centered around love, family, and connection. She was the loving wife of George Grant, with whom she shared many happy years filled with travel, road trips, laughter, and adventure. Together they created countless memories exploring new places and enjoying life’s simple pleasures.

Sharon was the proud and caring mother of Robyne (David) Parkes, Darren (Lorrie) and Dustin (Nicole) Boyd, Stepmother to Brian and Jeremy Grant. She was a cherished grandmother to Dylan (Carrie) and Emma (Tammy) Parkes, Rachel, Connor, and Ryker Boyd and Lilly and Riley Grant. Her joy only grew with the arrival of her great-grandchildren, Declan, Hattie, and Owen Parkes, who brought immense light and happiness to her life.

She was a dear sister to Stewart, Lynn, James, Hope, Terry, and Clarke. 

She treasured the many friendships she formed throughout her life.

Sharon worked at Bell Canada in both Lindsay and Toronto, dedicating many years of service and building lasting relationships along the way.

Compassionate and deeply caring, she gave generously of herself. In retirement, she devoted much of her time to volunteer work, finding purpose and fulfillment in helping others and supporting her community.

Her strength, grace, and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her.

Whether surrounded by family, friends, or nature, she embraced life with warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm.

Sharon will be remembered for her loving heart, and the way she brought people together. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at Lakeland Funeral Centre on May 9, 2026 between the hours of 1PM & 3PM.
