Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on October 3, 2024. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 61 years, Elwood Newbatt. Ruth was the loving mother of Charlene (Greg), Brent (Brenda) & Emmalee. Proud grandmother of Rachel (Friend Luke), Andrew & Ryan (Friend Marissa). Loved sister of Eileen (the Late George) & Douglas (Ailleen). Predeceased by siblings Margaret (the Late Robert) & Albert (the Late Agnes). She will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
The Newbatt family would like to thank the staff at Ross Memorial Hospital & her terrific Paramed PSW’s Stephanie & Darlene for the exceptional care they showed Ruth in her final days. A very grateful thank you to the family & friends who created an amazing support system.
A visitation will take place on Monday, October 7, 2024 at Lakeland Funeral Centre beginning at 10:30 A.M. until time of service at 12:30 P.M. Reception will follow. There will be a private graveside service at Eden Cemetery.
In memory of Ruth, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ross Memorial Hospital - Palliative Care Unit.
