Wood, Ernest “Ross”

Passed into the presence of his Lord peacefully at home in Lindsay on Monday, July 22, 2024 with his family by his side. Ross was in his 83rd year and was the beloved husband of Joan (Wright) for 59 years. Loving father of Chad and Kristina (Charlie) Francis. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Corey, Gordon (Corina), Makayla, Tiffany, Michael (Karlie), Anthony, Kenneth (Samantha), Ashley (David) and great grandchildren Collin, Xavier, Jaxon, Elexander, Carisle, Elijah, Sadie. He was the son of the late Carmon and Iva (Scriver) Wood and the son-in-law of the late Gordon and Ella (Taylor) Wright. He was a loving brother to Verna Humphries, Barbara (Boyd) Magee, Maurice (Anna), Carolyne (Dave) Fountain, Karen (Phillip) Barrette and Sheryl Hunt. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters Jean, Joyce, Jim, Ken, Shirley, Marion, Phyllis, Michael, Sheila, Mary and Lisa. Brother-in-law to Ruth Wood and James (Betty) Wright. Predeceased by Maise, Joy, Paul and Jean. Cremation has taken place. Service to be held at the Salvation Army Church, 51 Eglington Street, Lindsay, Lt. Bob Roffel will officiate, on Saturday, August 10, 2024. There will be a visitation from 10:30 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. A luncheon will follow from 12:00 P.M until time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM. After the service we will proceed to the Burnt River Cemetery for interment.
