Ronald Payne

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful man, Ronald Willis Payne. He completed his memorable journey in his 82nd year, on April 8, 2016. Ron leaves behind his lovely wife, Bonnie (Yvonne) Payne, daughter  Cynthia (Keith Smyth), and sons Steve (Cindy) and Greg (Roberta).  Loving grandchildren Corrina (Shayne), Kristen (Ryan), Kyle (Brittany),  Jeff, Bradley (Ashley), Nicole and Stephanie. He will be remembered for his loving devotion to his family and friends, his admiration for science and the arts, and his strong work ethic.  Ron’s favourite place was his lakeside home, which he built and welcomed his family and friends, creating lifelong memories. He will be missed for his sense of humour and his joy of sharing all that he loved to research. Family will receive friends at Lakeland Funeral and Cremation Centre, on Monday April 11 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.  The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 1pm. Reception to follow. A private burial will take place at a later date.
