Robert "Bob" McIntyre Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bob McIntyre on March 28, 2026 in his 77th year.

Bob McIntyre was the owner operator of Robert McIntyre Motors Ltd. in Woodville for over 30 years, a business he took over from his father Jack and started by his grandfather Hugh. Bob met and formed many friendships through operating the garage whether that was someone purchasing a new car, repairing an existing one or stopping regularly for gas on the way to their cottage. Through the garage he was always a strong supporter of many Woodville sports teams and events. He was an avid sports fan. In his younger years he was very active playing baseball, hockey and curling. He continued his love of sports by coaching local Woodville hockey and baseball teams. He rarely missed a Jays game, Nascar race or Sunday football on TV.

He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Helen McIntyre. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy (Fraser) McIntyre for 49 years. Loving father of Heather (Gary) Woodman and Amy McIntyre (Dieter) Metzner. He will be dearly missed by his granddaughters Hollie, Madison and Ashlee Woodman. He is survived by his sisters Judy (Sharon) McIntyre, Mary Kennedy, Margaret (Bill) Andrus, Susan (Larry) Bell and brother-in-law Keith Braiser and predeceased by his sister Barbara Braiser. He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Chuck and Betty Fraser and his brother-in-law Chuck Fraser and survived by his sister-in-law Kathy Perry. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at South Eldon Cemetery followed by a celebration of life at the Woodville Legion on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:00pm - 4:00pm.
