Robert William Bowins

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert William Bowins, age 63, on May 7, 2025, at Caressant Care Mary in Lindsay, Ontario.

Born in Scarborough on May 12, 1961, Robert was the beloved son of the late Robert Ingram Bowins and Arlene Bowins (née Downes).

Robert was a proud Special Olympics gold medalist in curling, and his achievements brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted partner Nancy Mills, his cherished sister Jan Bowins, and her husband Troy Latimer.

Robert’s strength, spirit, and smile will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 between the hours of 12PM - 1PM, at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre (19 Moose Rd, Lindsay, Ontario). A memorial service will commence at 1PM with a reception to follow.
