Robert Ralph White

After a very courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that the family of Robert Ralph White announces his passing on Sunday April 1 2018 at the age 75 surrounded by his family.  Robert was born on December 28, 1942 in Toronto Ontario, and was the son of the late James (Sonny) White and Grace R. (Hilley) White.

Robert is survived by his lifelong loving companion Margaret (Winson) White.  They were married on August 17, 1963, in Toronto Ontario and were married for over 54 years.  He will be forever remembered by his children Rhonda (Kevin) Trapp and James (Jen) and his grandchildren Ryan, Sean, Robert and Breanna.  He will be sadly missed by his sisters Lynda (Paul) Ryder, Maureen Mitchell (Ken) his brothers Paul, David and sister-in-law Helen (Bill) Bhual.  Robert was predeceased by his brother Ron (Kathy) and his first wife Donna.  He will also be lovingly remember by numerous nephews and nieces.

Robert worked for Canada Post as a letter carrier for 33 years.  He was an avid golfer and loved all kinds of sports.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and being a part of their lives. He assisted in coaching Jim’s hockey, soccer and softball teams in Port Perry area along with help coaching Rhonda’s hockey team in Ops (Lindsay).  When not coaching he would always be there spectating any sporting event they were involved with.  He continued this support to his grandchildren by not missing hockey, soccer, cross country, lacrosse or any other happening they participating in.  He also loved playing golf with Ryan, Sean and Robert.

Everyone that knew him summed him up with these words, “He was such a Good Guy”.

Robert was cremated at Lakelands Funeral & Cremation Centre in Lindsay Ontario.  A private family gathering will be taking place on Saturday April 28 2018.
