Robert James Walker

Peacefully with his family by his side, ROBERT JAMES WALKER, passed away at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 in his 79th year.    

Bob was the beloved son of the late Harvey and Luella (Knettle) Walker. Loving partner of Sybil Taylor and cherished Father to his son, Jacob (Theresa) and his daughter, Sarah (William). Predeceased by his son, Jeremy (2022) and his siblings, John Walker and Judy (Gary) Godwin. Adored Grandfather of Jeremy and Angela’s twins, Blake and Jaxon and Sarah and William’s daughter, Maeve. Loving brother to Lee (Liz) Walker and Lynn (Grant) Ducsharm. Fondly remembered by his cousins, nieces, nephews, Jane Walker, the Pereira family and so many friends and former clients. 

Robert J. Walker was born and raised in Bobcaygeon and practiced law for over 40 years in the Village of Bobcaygeon, before his retirement at the end of 2017. He was a devoted member of the Verulam Masonic Lodge and was interested in historic architecture as indicated by his restoration of the Stewart house on the corner of King and Bolton Street. 

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Robert’s life will take place on Sunday May 21st, 2023 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Henderson House at Settler’s Village, Bobcaygeon.  As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or Settlers Village, Bobcaygeon would be appreciated.   

His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, he was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
