Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Now reunited with his beloved wife Betty Brown (nee Palmer). Robert leaves behind his children Matt (Carrie), Aaron (Tracy) & Hester. Grandfather of Hailey (Karl), Saul, Noah & Otto. Great grandfather of Simon. Remembered by brother Wayne Brown (Gwen). Fondly remembered as well by many other extended family and close friends.
The Brown family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses & staff at Ross Memorial Hospital for their excellent care during Robert's illness and final days as well as the Oncology team at the Durham Regional Cancer Centre - Lakeridge Health Oshawa. The family would also like to share their deepest appreciation to all of the residents and staff of Adelaide Place who did so much to welcome Robert into their community and supported him unwaveringly during his illness.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday April 8, 2026 at Lakeland Funeral Centre (19 Moose Road, Lindsay) between the hours of 1PM-3PM.
Donations in memory of Robert can be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
