Robert Gordon Hampson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Gordon Hampson, born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on July 6, 1933 and lived in Lindsay, Ontario for the last 25 years.  Robert passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on June 15, 2022.  He is survived by his spouse of 47 years, Dianne.  Dear father of Linda (Scott), Robert Jr. (Susan), Annette and Margo.  Loving grandpa and papa to Melanie, Jessica, Nicole (Terry), Dakota (Alex), Tyler, Jason (Hannah), Anthony, Matthew, Colleen (Jay), Kim (Marshall) and Gordon.  Great grandpa to Jayden, Kingston, Olivia, Rylie, Ember, Lennon, Austin, Logan, Liam, Lincoln, Nixon, Jayme and Olivia.  Predeceased by his father, William and mother, Sarah, and his daughters, Valerie (Gord) and Janet (Kevin). Robert was affectionately known as  Bear to his friends and family.   Robert was an avid hockey fan and was known to cheer on the Toronto Maple Leafs.  He was a caring  and kind man who loved to tell jokes and make people laugh.  He loved to write little poems to brighten up your day.   We will miss him more than words can say.  In keeping with his wishes, no funeral service will be held at this time.  A private family celebration will be held in the future.
