Sadly, Rita left us on September 15th, 2024, at the age of 96. Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, her latest home in Fenelon Falls, Ontario.

She leaves behind her son & daughter in-law Derrick & Laurie Francis, brother & sister in-law Kevin & Ruth Kerrivan and sister in-law Donna Kerrivan, granddaughters Amelia Gartner, Shannon & Rob Rouble and Grandson Cory & Mary Jane Francis, her great grandkids Kieran, Erin, Logan and Meadow.  As well as many nieces & nephews here in Ontario and also in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Colorado.

Rita is predeceased by her beloved husband John (Jack) Francis, and daughter Deborah Gartner, brother-Gerry Kerrivan, sister & brother in-law Katie & Walter Shura, sister & brother in-law-Jean & Percy Fowler, sister & brother in-law Patrica & Mike Harrity, sister & brother in-law Millicent & Jim O'Keefe, brother Bernard Kerrivan, and baby Elizabeth Kerrivan.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life, Saturday October 19, 2024 from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Memories will be shared at 2:00 P.M. at, The Locker, 9 Lindsay Street, Fenelon Falls ON.

Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
