Passed away suddenly on May 12, 2026, in his 90th year, at Ross Memorial Hospital.
Paul was the beloved husband and best friend of Nina (nee Gosling), and the dear brother of the late Donnie, survived by his wife Joan, and the late Helen and her husband, Lorne West. He was the dear son of the late Ted and Vera Grills, a cherished friend of Andrew Keeler, and a proud and devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Paul and Nina made their home in Cannington where they lived on the family farm for many years, then relocated a short distance to Sideroad 18A, and more recently settled in Lindsay, sharing many cherished years together.
Paul took great pride in his work, which extended beyond farming to the business aspects of his partnership with his brother in Grills Brothers Dairy Cattle. He had a keen mind for numbers and a lifelong interest in business and the stock market. He was a gifted storyteller whose memories and keen wit made every visit memorable.
Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Paul at Lakeland Funeral and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay on Sunday, May 31, from 1- 3 p.m. Private Interment Cedar Vale Cemetery, Cannington at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
