Nancy Elizabeth Cumby (née Bryans)
August 12, 1954 – December 28, 2025

Nancy Elizabeth Cumby (née Bryans), beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into rest suddenly on December 28, 2025, at the age of 71, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario.

Born on August 12, 1954, in Lindsay, Ontario, Nancy was the loving daughter of Blanche Bryans. She spent her life rooted in the community she called home, where she built lasting relationships and a family that meant everything to her.

Nancy was funny, sassy, deeply caring, and endlessly giving. She was someone who always thought of others first, often putting her own needs aside to make sure those around her felt loved and supported. As a mother and grandmother, she was fiercely protective, incredibly loving, and delighted in spoiling everyone she could. Family was at the center of her world, and she lived her life guided by values of generosity, kindness, and resilience. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Cumby; her children, Justin Cumby (and his partner, Laurie St. John) and Jason Cumby; and her cherished granddaughter, Emma Cumby, who brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her siblings: Charles Bryans (Barb), Ellen Mason (Ross), Susan Sleep (Kenny), Lynda Archer (Brian), and Edward Bryans (Mari); as well as her sisters- and brother-in-law: Beverly Johnston (Phil), Doris Erer (Kevork), and Bill Cumby. Nancy was a beloved and loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Nancy’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no service.
