Murray Bruce Hamilton
Retired Captain of the Oshawa Fire Department
Passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital on December 4, 2025. Murray leaves behind his devoted wife of 66 years, Roberta Hamilton (nee Guthrie). Beloved father of Neil Hamilton (Carolyn), Jack Hamilton (Joanne), Joseph Hamilton (Maribeth) and Lisa Ireland (Mike). Cherished grandfather of Anthony (Marilyn), Cory Lynn, Shannon (Omar), Tom, James, Shayne, Neil (Sarah), Connor (Amy), Michaela (Tyler), Raymond, Kevin and Dana. Great grandfather of Calla, Rayan, James, Graycie, Madison, Jaxson, Jayden and Kyle. Predeceased by siblings Jack Hamilton and Beth O’Coin (the late Al). Murray will be missed deeply by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In keeping with Murray’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life held at Lakeland Funeral Centre in the spring.
Donations in memory of Murray may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ross Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
