I was very sad to learn of Mort's passing. Alex and I enjoyed getting to know you both and the many good laughs we had over the years. I have fond memories too that after my Alex passed away, I would drop by for visits and Mort took great delight in beating me at cribbage. Our condolences go out to the Nicholson family. Ron and I are saddened by Mort's passing. We so enjoyed his big smile and big heart. Whether it was tending to his garden by the road which we passed in our many neighbourhood walks or listening to the pride he had for his entire family. Our prayers go out to you all.

I want to send my condolences to all of you on the passing of Morley. He, as well as you were always so welcoming to my family and myself as we enjoyed our summers in the cottage beside you. Morley was always willing to help whenever we needed it. He always paid special attention to my children. A great person always ready to tell you where he stood on an issue. My trips with Mort to 'Murphy's Mall' for re-cycled parts were always an adventure.

Kelly, Rae & Mrs. N: Sorry to hear of Mr. N's passing. My thoughts remain with you at this difficult time. Dad and M were best pals and now they are together again, laughing about the good times dating back to being the 6th and 7th members of the Whitby Police Force. Joan, I was saddened to hear of cousin Morley's passing. Even though he was 18 years older than me, it was great to get to know him over the years. He always cared and showed genuine interest. We will always appreciate his calls and visit when he came to Sault Ste. Marie. We are not able to be with you on Saturday but we will be thinking about you and your family as well as praying for you.

I had the privilege of work with Morley in the early '70 (Whitby PD and Durham Region). He was a great mentor and a true professional and he will be missed. Nancy and I send our sympathy to the family and we will be praying for you in this difficult time.

We just want you to know that we are truly saddened by the loss of Mort. We know how much you and your family loved him. He was easy to love. We so enjoyed our card games and Mort will truly be missed by all at Valentia Seniors. We all loved having Mort as a partner and knew if he had one trump in his hand he would make it. He leaves us with so many fond memories that will bring a smile to our faces for years to come.

Joan, Mike and Kelly, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Morley was one of the first and best D/Sgt. That I met when I entered 17CIB , years ago. I will always remember his leadership and help that he gave to me. My deepest sympathies, he was a great man!
