Michael Gallo

“Every saint has a past”

It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic and sudden loss of a brother, son, nephew, uncle, grandson and friend.  Michael Peter Gallo, at the young age of 24, after an accidental drug overdose and a long, brave battle with addiction.  Michael leaves behind, and will be forever loved and missed by, his beloved big brother Robert, his foster parents and family John and Patty 

Fulford, brothers James (Heidi) Moffatt, Jordan Bellanger, Tory Burke,  Jonah Pearson, sister Emily Taylor, nephew Gabriel, niece Abigail, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He will be remembered by his Nonna, and his family and cousins of the Canfield, Gallo and Ostrowski families.  Michael was predeceased by his parents Peter and Judy Gallo.  Michael loved to skateboard, bike and play rugby... he was really good!   He also loved to camp, fish, play the guitar and drums, write music, and he grew into a hard working man. Mike was a very charismatic guy with a big heart and could light up the room with his smile.  Michael believed in second chances and new beginnings. He had dreams of a future career, the love of a wife and family, and although Mike had his struggles he kept his heart open to the Lord and was not shy about his personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

Michael rededicated his life to God and was trying very hard to live a clean and sober life. He was doing so well but couldn’t break the chains of his demons.  We believe God finally said: “that’s enough... you are coming Home with Me.  No more struggles here on earth.”   

You are at peace.  

We love you, Michael. You’ll remain forever in our hearts.  

But for the grace of God I go... until we meet again.

A private service will be held with his immediate family in attendance.
