Mary Catherine (Wilson) Pyke

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Mary Pyke of Cameron, Ontario on Sunday January 28, 2018. Mary died peacefully at home with her husband Len and children Leonard, Heather and Kim at her side. Mary was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, February 25, 1934, to Nell and Bill Wilson and has always been surrounded by the love of her brothers and sisters. She met and married Len, the love of her life for 60 years. Even when Mary's memory had failed her and remembering became increasingly difficult, she never forgot her love for Len. Her children, grand children and recent new addition of a beautiful great granddaughter will miss Mary's strength and her love for children. Vibrant and strong willed, Mary fought an amazing battle with many health issues. Her grace and dignity through all the challenges are on the long list of admirable qualities to describe this wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, wife and friend. Rest in Peace our darling, sweet, feisty, fun-loving Mary, Mom, Nanny. We have you in our hearts and thoughts filled with love always and forever. Family and friends are welcome to drop in at the LAKELAND FUNERAL AND CREMATION CENTRE, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay. for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be a short spiritual service at 2:30 pm.
