Mary Diana Gosse

With her children by her side, Mary passed peacefully on June 6th, 2023, at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay.  

Mary was born 89 years ago in Coley's Point Newfoundland, where she kept heartfelt connections all her life. After moving to Toronto in 1948 with her parents and siblings, Mary later met and married the love of her life, Harvey, in 1952. The Gosse’s reveled in the strength of the Glenmore Road community. Retiring to their cottage in Lindsay was a dream they fulfilled in 1986, where they enjoyed family gatherings, neighbourly get-togethers, and regular winter travel to the U.S. via their 5th wheel Camper.

Mary is predeceased by her husband Harvey in 2015 and survived by her children, Judy (John), Kathy (Ron), Cheryl (Clyde), and Wayne (Barb), 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, her four brothers and one sister.  The family is grateful to the staff at Caressant Care and Ross Memorial Hospital.  

Memorial Visitation will be held at Lakeland Funeral Centre in Lindsay on Monday, June 19 from 2:00 –-4:00 pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
