Marlynn Ann Wiebe (nee Davis)
Aged 84, passed away on January 18th, 2026 in Lindsay, ON after a long battle with cancer.
She was born October 11th, 1941 to William and Dorothy (nee Reading) in Toronto. She attended Runnymede High and completed high school while living in Maple. After Teacher's College, she began her teaching career in Vaughan Township. She married James Harding in 1962, and raised three children while living in Ottawa, McLean, VA and the Northwest Territories. In 1983 she married Greg Wiebe, and they moved to Kawartha Lakes in 1989.
Marnie was a caregiver at heart and an advocate for the voiceless, human and animal alike. In addition to teaching, she also worked for Akaitcho Hall residence in Yellowknife, the Victoria County Association for Community Living and the Children's Aid Society.
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Peter, and daughter-in-law Denise. She leaves behind her beloved husband Greg Wiebe, her children Malea (Thomas Timar), Paul, and Peter, her grandchildren Kevin, Kassandra, Rachel and Nathan, and eight great-grandchildren.
According to her wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has already occurred. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer society or a charity of your choice appreciated.
