Marjorie McClelland (nee Marshall)

After a sudden illness, Marjorie passed away peacefully at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario with her husband of 66 years, David by her side. Loving mother of Kenneth, Alan (Tracy), Brian (Sandra) & Paul (Mary). Devoted grandmother to Londe (Tyson), Calla (Patrick), Aaron, Katie, Evan, Benjamin, Callum (Ally) & Ronan. Great grandmother to Jensen, Bryn & Jillian. Fondly remembered by sister Elizabeth (Charles) and predeceased by sister Karen.

Born in Toronto, Ontario to her late parents James & Winnifred Marshall (nee Jones), Marjorie graduated from Eastern Commerce Collegiate Institute. She worked in the insurance industry and then many years as a secretary in schools around the Lindsay area but her real passions were centered around her family, friends, travel & hobbies. Marjorie valued her connections with friends & extended family & was often the one to reach out with news, or well wishes to those within her orbit. After family and friends, Marjorie's loves in no particular order included: reading, dancing, flowers, bridge, traveling to far reaching places and summers at the cottage on Soyers Lake. She was a member of the Lindsay Creative Quilters Guild & a long serving member of Cambridge Street United Church where she performed with a bell choir & served with the UCW. Marjorie and David both received their pins for accomplishing 20 years of volunteer service with Community Care Kawartha Lakes.

In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes, cremation has taken place & there will be a visitation held at Lakeland Funeral Centre on March 8th, 2025 beginning at 10AM until time of service at 11AM. The service will be followed by a reception.
