Mae Helena Moynes (nee Hancock)

Our family shares the news that our family’s Matriarch, Mae Helena Moynes, passed away on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, at the age of 102. 

Loving mother to Dianne (Eric), Wayne (Susan), Rick (Lynn), and the late Michelle. 

A very proud Grandmother to 10, Great Grandmother to 16, and a Great Great Grandmother to five. 

She was predeceased by her parents Oliver and Ruby Hancock, her five sisters, and her two brothers.  

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday, 14th August from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at Lakeland Funeral & Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Reception to follow interment. 

Her feisty love of life and family will be missed by all who knew her. Our family would like to share our deep gratitude for the nursing staff at Fenelon Court, and the whole Palliative care staff at the Ross Memorial Hospital. Angels, each of you.
