Linda York

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Mary Evelyn York (nee St. Pierre) on November 4, 2022 surrounded by family at Oak Ridges Hospice in Port Perry. Linda was predeceased by her parents George St. Pierre and Marie Keeler, and her two brother’s Peter and Grant St. Pierre.  She will be missed by her loving husband Bryan York who she loved more than anything because he made her laugh and they shared many adventures. Always learning from her ability to love and embrace life is her sister, Sharon St. Pierre and husband Butch Laundry, her two daughters, Anna-Marie Timms and Lisa Pike and her husband, Kevin Pike.  Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and always had a pocketful of treats for Alexis Timms, Tayler Evans, Megan Evans, Evelyn Pike, and Emelia Pike and her great-grandchildren, Carter and Harper Melvin. Whether in her hairdressing chair or enjoying her wonderful hospitality, those who knew Linda were lucky to share her contagious laugh, quick wit and generous spirit. Remembering Linda and sharing her love and compassion in all things is the greatest way to memorialize. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to make a donation to Oak Ridges Hospice whose wonderful kindness and respect for Linda helped her and the family immensely.
