Edward Vincent “Lee” Lieggi

Sadly passed away after a short stay at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay in his 71st year. Edward is survived by his best friend and wife of 17 years Susanne (Sue Plummer). Proud and loving father to Ed (Kim), Melissa (Michael) and Joseph all of New Jersey, USA. And loving “Pops” and step dad to Travis (Shawna) Patterson and Tyler (Robin) Patterson.  “Poppy” will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Madeline, Lindsay, Michael (Bishop), Gabriel, Charlotte, Ava and Kylie (Patterson) and granddaughter and 3 great grandsons by choice Gabrielle, Caleb, Hunter and Jameson.

Dear brother of Vincent (Joyce), Isabelle (predeceased) and Debbie (Artie) Friedman. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and many friends. He held one young man, our foster son Justin (Robins) in his heart as well. Edward was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers fan. Once he moved to Lindsay, he adopted the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays as his teams as well. Family meant everything to him and he was so proud and bragged about all our children. He enjoyed life, loved living in a small town and being retired he became a volunteer driver for the CAS and the local Community Care. 

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will take place at Lakeland Funeral and Cremation Centre in Lindsay, on Saturday, February 26th between 1:00 P.M. - 3:00 P.M. With Words of Remembrance at 2:00 P.M. Refreshments will be served at the Days Inn, 134 Angeline Street South, Lindsay, after the celebration. In lieu of flowers donations to the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes or Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes would be appreciated by the family.
