It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lawrence Bateman Crocker. Lawrence passed away peacefully, on February 8, 2026, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of 52 years to Leona Crocker (nee Wartman); cherished son of the late Bunting and Nancy Crocker (nee Bateman); brother of Tim (Sally); proud father of Sarah (Ted) and Peter (Becky); and devoted Papa to Peyton, Ireland, Bennett and Hannah.
Born in Kirkland Lake, Lawrence moved with his family to Toronto in the 1950’s. For the last 38 years, Lawrence and family were cottagers on Sturgeon Lake and retired there in 2012.
His life was filled with endless adventure and curiosity – sailing, skiing, snowmobiling, golfing, boating, camping, cruising and travelling the world. He was a proud alumnus of Lakefield College. He was also a dedicated 20-year member of the Canadian Sport Parachuting Association. He enjoyed a long successful career as Collection Manager at Fraser Milner Casgrain.
His kindness, warmth and friendship touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.
Friends and family are welcome to join us as we celebrate his life on Sunday February 22nd at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay St. N., Lindsay, from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Eulogy at 3:00 p.m.
