Passed away peacefully at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Monday, December 15th, 2008 in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Muriel Shirley McArthur. Predeceased by his parents Ross and Maude Saville. Loving stepfather of Shirley Kalkhourst of Windsor and George Walker (Kathleen) of Peterborough. Grandfather of Sheri Kalkhourst, Bridgette Kalkhourst (Tim), Ed Kalkhourst (Nicole), Chuck Walker (Tracey Wilson), James Walker (Miranda Carrigan) and Amanda Walker. Great grandfather of Wade Angel Boy Walker and Kaiden Kalkhourst. Predeceased by his sister Barbara McArthur and his brother Johnny McArthur. Ken will be sadly missed by all his relatives, friends and comrades at the Lindsay Ops Fire Department (remembered as the driver of the 1929 La France fire truck in many local parades). The family will receive friends at Parker Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 19 Moose Road, (corner of McLaughlin and Moose Road) Lindsay, on Friday, December 19th from 1:00 pm until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay. Reception to follow. A very special thank you to the exceptional care Ken received in the Palliative Care Unit, thank you to Dr. Peter Anderson and all the nursing staff. God gave you wings.
