We are saddened to announce Kathy passed away peacefully in her sleep April 23, 2026. She leaves behind her children Karen, Alan (Vicki), Arlene and the Late Diane. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren, their spouses and ten great grandchildren. She is survived by her dear brother Philip Hindle. Remembered fondly by her many nieces, nephews and cousins from her large extended family.
Kathy lived a long and full life. She was born and raised in Toronto at a very turbulent time in our country’s history and yet spoke fondly of her past. She was married in 1954 and her family was always her top priority. She instilled in her children the values of hard work, education, accomplishment and an appreciation of our natural environment. Memories of our farm, camping trips and many family gatherings have been a comfort to her and all of her family over these last few months and they will continue to bless us going forward.
The family sincerely thanks West Shore Village and Port Perry Hospital, their employees and volunteers for their expertise and compassion in caring for Kathy.
Per Kathy’s request, there will be no funeral. A private memorial will be held at a future date.
