John Charles David Hope

HOPE, Dr. John Charles David, D.C., born Dec. 10, 1931 – our hero and king among men – died suddenly from pancreatitis on Sun., May 27, 2012 with his loving family at his side. Beloved and devoted husband of 56 years to Pat Hope (nee Bolton); adored father of Alison (Jamey Fraser), Jonathan (Cynthia Klowak), Andrea (John Wallace); cherished grandfather of Maddy, Greer, George, Jesse, Sam and Ethan; loving brother to Margaret Prichard and Evelyn Scheller; loyal and mischief-making friend and uncle; respected Etobicoke chiropractor for 37 years. John will be sorely missed by us all. He was our moral compass, our friend, our caregiver, our classical music aficionado, our passionate Leafs fan, our talented athlete and our infuriating yet endearing pot-stirrer. He had a brilliant mind and a huge heart. He appreciated the simple things in life and aspired to the most important. His life was a triumph on all accounts. John will never be forgotten. Visitation Thursday, May 31, 11 am, service 12 pm, reception to follow, St. James Anglican Church, 7 Bond St. E., Fenelon Falls. In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Salvation Army.
