It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johanna Gostlin-Massaar.  She passed away peacefully at the age of 89 on February 27th at 10 P.M. in Coboconk. Johanna Gostlin-Massaar was born in Voorbrug, Zuid Holland in the Netherlands on March 25, 1931 to Jacoba Meijer and Wilhemus de Bruin. Johanna was the eldest of 6 siblings. Johanna was married to the late Arrie (Harry) Massaar on July 26, 1951 in Voorbrug and immigrated to Canada along with their first child. Johanna and Harry had 8 children.  Johanna remarried on February 2, 2013 to Vern Gostlin, whom she leaves behind. She will be greatly missed and leaves behind 6 children and their spouses, 16 grand children and 12 great grand children. We have wonderful memories of Johanna and summertime camping, fishing on the lake, playing cards and delicious dutch foods. Johanna had a strong Christian faith and believed in God’s promises and trusted in His faithfulness.  She is now in the loving arms of Jesus. 

There will be a funeral service on Wednesday, March 3 at 2:00 P.M. at Pioneer Baptist Church, 7553 Hwy 35, Norland, Ontario. Interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Norland, Ontario.
