Miller, Marjorie “Joan” (Davis)
Joan entered into rest peacefully at Caressant Care, Mary Street, Lindsay with family by her side on Sunday September 25 in her 91st year.
Joan was the beloved wife of Keith (predeceased 2020) for over 67 years. Mother of Bev Cochrane (Brent predeceased), Grandmother of Cyndi McKeen (Jamie), Kathy Goosen (Lance) and Great Grandmother of Kate and Ashleigh McKeen. Mother of Russ (Chris), Grandmother of Jason, Steven (Heather), Wendy (Cam Jones) and Great Grandmother of Stephanie, Sophia, and Scott Miller and Emma and Paxton Jones. Mother of Ken (Loreen), Grandmother of Karen Potter (David), Scott (Christine), Great Grandmother of Brooklyn, Makenna, Charlotte and Trent Potter, William, Hazel and Oliver Miller.
Mother of Jim (Joy), Grandmother of Lainey Brethour (Jeff), Greg (Vanessa), Great Grandmother of Bronson and Jayden Brethour. Mother of John (Bianca Tenbrink), Grandmother of Emma (Alan), Luke (Kim), Madison and Keegan. Mother of Ann (Jeff Naffin), Grandmother of Matt and Logan Neill.
Joan was the youngest daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Davis. Sister of Bruce Davis and Gwen Wilson. Predeceased by sister Molly Westcott, brothers Richard and Leonard and infant sister Beryl. Sister-in-law of June Miller of Sunderland.
Joan was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan in 1932 and moved to Ontario as a young girl. She married the love of her life, Keith and they farmed together on the 10 th concession of Brock Township for 35 years. They retired and moved to Lindsay in 1987.
Joan was actively involved as a leader in 4-H, an exceptional seamstress, painter and gardener. Joan was an avid volunteer with the Hospital Auxiliary and Queen Street Thrift Shop. Each grandchild received an Around the World quilt lovingly made by their Grandma.
