Jean Myrtle McInnes

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean McInnes (nee Gordon) on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in her 95th year. Jean McInnes of Lindsay, cherished wife of R. Douglas McInnes (predeceased) and mother to Elizabeth Burley and Lorraine McInnes. Dearly loved grandma to Kathryn Dukelow (Travis), Kevin Burley (Layal), Eric Burley (Katelin) and Andrea Burley. Great grandma to five great-grandchildren. Sister to Marion Park (predeceased) and twin sister to Jack Gordon. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Jean was a kind and gentle woman who loved to play bridge and spend time with her family. She was an excellent homemaker. Everyone looked forward to her baked goods. There were always cookies and muffins in containers on top of the fridge. In later life she enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Haliburton. She swam every day in the summer. Her greatest joy was having family close by.

Our family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the Unit 3 staff at Caressant Care McLaughlin for their excellent care. She will be dearly missed by all. As per her wishes there will be no funeral. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 10th, 2023 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM at the Sunderland Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 141 (104 River Street, Sunderland) .
