Jean MacNair

MACNAIR, Jean Rose Marie (June 8, 1932 – November 28, 2022)

Age 90, of Frost Manor, Lindsay, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother. Our Mother was the beloved wife of the late George Malcolm MacNair. Daughter of Rose (Roy) and George Deschene. Mom was born in Sturgeon Falls, but lived in Sudbury, before moving to Hamilton in 1964. She is survived by her children Sandy (Jack) Lansing, Brenda, Barbara, Howie (Tara), Jim (Jane), Douglas, and her grandchildren Melissa and Jeffrey (Nadine) Lansing, Ryan, Craig, Tyler (Meaghen), Colin, Tessa, Kenny, Seamus, Heather MacNair and her great-grandchildren Éliane and Loïc Lansing, Grayson MacNair and sister Claudette Smith.  Mom was predeceased by her infant son Jeffrey, sister Georgette and brothers Ray and Ronald. While in Hamilton, Mom and Dad worked with the Children’s Aid Society, providing love and care to children with Cerebral Palsy and Down syndrome. Mom finished her career in Hamilton as an ECE assistant at Peoples Church. Mom and Dad then retired to their cottage at Head Lake, Norland. They enjoyed sitting on their porch in the evening watching the hummingbirds and the sun set. The family thanks the staff at Frost Manor for their many years of compassion and care.
