Janet Elizabeth Slater (nee Wilson)

Passed away peacefully at home on July 3, 2025 surrounded by family. Janet leaves behind her best friend and beloved husband Michael Slater. Her children Michael Slater (Jerilyn), Kevin Slater, Grant Slater & Megan Swinson (Aaron). Grandma Janet to Riley. Janet was awaiting a new grandchild who she already adored. Survived by her mother Carole Wilson (nee Hyslop). Now at rest with her father Douglas Wilson. Janet will be dearly missed by her brother Dave Wilson (Christine) & her nephews Brian Wilson & Christopher Wilson. 

The Slater family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the doctors, nurses & staff at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Ross Memorial Hospital & the Home Palliative Care Team for all their unwavering support. 

In keeping with Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service held at Lakeland Funeral Centre (19 Moose Road, Lindsay) on July 10, 2025 at 3PM. Reception will follow. 

Donations in memory of Janet can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or Sick Kids Hospital.
