James Allen Earnshaw

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our father James Allen Earnshaw. Dad was a man of great kindness and good intention. Predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Sally Ann (Wynes), the couple made their home in several locales throughout Ontario including Thunder Bay, Wawa, Collingwood, Washburn Island, North Bay, Oshawa and Nipissing. Allen is survived by four sisters, Florence (Salmon Arm), Lillian (Saskatoon), Susan (Arbourg Man) and Lois (Michigan). He was predeceased by his brothers Robert and Bud, and his sisters Margaret and Gayle. He will be forever missed and loved by his children Jack (Cyndy), Dani, Mike (Diane), Beth (Edward). Dad was a big part of his grandchildren’s lives. Adrienne, James, Daniel, Emily, Ashleigh, Mitchell and Ella loved their Poppa and introduced him to 8 great grandchildren. There were many dogs and cats that benefitted from his kind heart.

We would like to thank the nurses and staff at Ross Memorial Hospital on the Emergency, Fourth and Palliative floors for their fine care. Thanks also goes to the staff of Caressant Care Mary Street for their wonderful care and support.

In keeping with Allen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeland Funeral Centre (19 Moose Road, Lindsay) on August 2, 2025 between the hours of 1PM-3PM. Words of remembrance will be held at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society Kawartha Lakes or the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes.
