Irma Luise Teetz

Irma Luise Teetz, 86, much loved wife and mother, passed away on August 30, 2021 at Victoria Manor nursing home in Lindsay, Ontario. Her home was in Peterborough.  She was the daughter of Georg and Mina Maneval (Merz) and step-mother Maria Maneval (Ribstein).   Irma is survived by Gunter, her devoted husband of 63 years and her daughters Annemarie (Elgin) Knopp and Diane (Jim) Coffey as well as 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren plus one on the way. Born in Ober-Roden Germany, Irma was the eldest of 7.  She was sister to the late Hannelore Kirschler, Gudrun Maneval and Ingrid Studer as well as her surviving brothers Gernot Maneval, Otto Maneval and Volker Maneval, all of Germany.  Irma loved all things family, company, music and the colour yellow. She was a loving aunt, staunch friend and at times, a force of nature. She will be missed. Due to these uncertain times, the family has chosen to have a private family celebration of life.
