Hilary Green

Hilary Green died peacefully in her room at Extendicare, Kawartha Lakes on November 18, 2024 in Lindsay, Ontario at the age of 89, surrounded by loving family.

Hilary was born on September 11, 1935 in Hull, Yorkshire to Tom and Elsie Reed. She married Walter Green, in 1955 shortly after immigrating to Canada, the land of promise. They were devoted to each other and they raised their 3 children in a home full of love.

Her children remember her as a beautiful, kind, patient, loving mother who prioritized spending time together and always encouraged the making of memories.

Hilary was an active member in her church and surrounding community. She participated in many groups and clubs, such as Singing Seniors, Life Group at Cambridge Street Baptist, Lindsay Seniors Association and Hooks & Needles. She was a kind soul who always had time to listen and was a friend to many.

Hilary is survived by children, Rachel (Greg), Paul (Karen), and Kathryn (Kevin); grandchildren Nathan (Julia), Hannah (Phil), Miriam (Mike), Calvin (Sarah), Calista, Warren, Graham, and Renee, and great grandchildren Lumen and Ori. Preceded in death by husband, Walter.

There will be a drop-in Celebration of Life, Saturday, December 14, 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Bethel Evangelical Church in Lindsay. 

In lieu of flowers, Hilary requested that you take a friend out for coffee (or tea) and make some memories.
