NEUMANN, Gerhard Werner

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerhard Werner Neumann on May 19, 2022 in Lindsay, Ontario. Born in Lithuania on November 26, 1937. He is predeceased by his father Richard, mother Berta, sister Heidi, brothers Horst and Manfred. Survived by sister Renate, husband Mike, sister in law Erika, nephew Ronald and niece Barbara, her common law spouse Brian, cousins Irene (George), Christina (Michael), many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Gerry worked for New York Fur Exchange as a furrier, later retired to live in Bobcaygeon where he enjoyed his favourite pastime, fishing. Gerry had a passion for hunting and fishing and enjoyed many trips for deer, moose and caribou, ducks, geese and pheasant. He went on many fishing trips all over Ontario. Gerry would host many game dinners for family and friends, and hunting buddies Lloyd, Jim and Sully.

He shared his passion of hunting and fishing with many of his nieces and nephews. Gerry loved playing cards with family and friends. Gerry was a life long friend to Sonja Brown and her family. They had shared many fun years fishing, boating and travelling. Gerry loved dancing the tango. Gerry will be sadly missed by Sonja and her family.

There will be a Graveside Service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. Celebration of Life to follow at sister Renate Salbs home.
