Passed away at Victoria Manor in Lindsay, Ontario at the age of 89 with his family by his side.
Survived by his four loving children Cindy (Gregg), Judy, Richard (Michelle) and Michael (Tania) and his seven grandchildren, Samantha, Daniel, Mackenzie, Cassidy, Kennedy, Jacob and Sawyer.
Predeceased by his wife Nancy, parents James and Salome Thompson and siblings Lloyd, Jack, Vera, Lavina, Ann, Sadie and Phyllis.
Eric will be sadly missed and will always be remembered for the loving husband, father, poppa, brother and uncle he was to all his family.
His sense of humour and kind nature touched many lives.
Eric was very passionate about all sports and loved watching his grandchildren play. He would often be seen in the hockey arena stands or on the soccer field sidelines with his coffee in hand.
We are comforted to know that Eric is now with his beloved Nancy and they are together again.
In keeping with Eric's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
