Eric Alan Smith
1942-2022

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday September 29, 2022 at the Continuing Care Unit in the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay. One month shy of his 80th birthday, which he’ll be disappointed in not making it to,  there would have been a trip to Red Lobster to celebrate without a doubt.

Born in Alberton P.E.I. on October 29, 1942, son to the late Denzil and Mary (Burke) Smith.   Leaving behind his two daughters, Lisa Smith and Tanya Smith (Agata) he had with his former wife Mary Smith.  Also his second former wife Bonnie Smith and her kids Christal Browning (John), Julie Salazar, Sean Browning (Nicki) and step grandkids. It speaks volumes about a man that can have both his ex wives peacefully sharing space together.

The youngest of 7, Eric is survived by his  brother Fred (Marlene) Smith and eldest sister Blanche(late Erskine) Millman. Predeceased by sisters  Lottie Mallett & Eleanor Fraser and brothers James and Ron Smith. The Smith family had a great appreciation of humour, the laughter will be heard from Heaven as they all gather and reminisce about their good times down here.

Dad and his best little buddy Riley will be ecstatic to be reunited again, he had a real way with animals.

He worked hard and played harder, enjoying a good drink, some great food and he didn’t take life too seriously is how he rolled. Dad will be remembered fondly, missed deeply and forever loved by so many.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 30th at the Lindsay Golf Club from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.  Family and Friends are invited to come share some stories and some laughs.
