Edna Mae Ainsworth (née Downer)

May 13, 1925 – February 11, 2022

Passed away in her 97th year at Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario.  Born in Haliburton, Ontario and spent many happy years with her late husband, Richard Cyril Ainsworth, at their cottage on Little Redstone Lake in the Haliburton Highlands.  Still enjoyed summers at the cottage.  Very active with Anglican Church Women at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Lindsay, Ontario.  Daughter of the late William and Laura Downer.  Predeceased by brother Martin of Mississauga.  Loving mother of Judy, Pat and Hugh (Connie), grandmother of Jonathan, Daniel, Kathleen and Stephen, and great-grandmother of Esmée and Robert.  As Edna wished, there will be no formal service.  Her cremated remains placed in the family plot at Evergreen Cemetery, Haliburton, Ontario.  Online book of condolences may be signed at www.lakelandfuneralcentre.com.
