Douglas David George Streahorn

Douglas Streahorn, 84, of Brechin Ontario, passed away suddenly on October 19, 2023.  

Doug was born April 23, 1939 to Robert and Sylvia Streahorn on a farm in Stayner Ontario. This is where Doug grew up learning his love for nature and fixing things. This passion stayed with him throughout his life as he practiced his trades as a mechanic and a heavy equipment operator until he retired.

Doug was predeceased in 2019 by Marjorie who was the love of his life.

Doug was the loving father and step father to Sharlene(Wayne), Judy(Ric d.2017), Corina(Randy), Beverly(Glen d. 2010), Lori(Keith), Deborah and Heather(Richard).

Doug is survived by his sister Jean. He was predeceased by his sisters Mary, Dorothy, Betty and June and his brothers William and Jack.

Doug will be greatly missed by his grandchildren including through marriage Clayton(Amanda), Kevin, Edward, Belinda (Jim), Crystal, Shannon (Scott), D.J., David (Sarah), Jonathan (Tamara),Shawn (Jennifer), Brenda, Victoria (Elliott), Mitchell (Nevada), Selina (Lamar) and Robert and all of his great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday November 4, 2023, at Lakeland Funeral Centre, 19 Moose Road, Lindsay, ON K9V 0A2. Visitation will begin at 12:00p.m. and Services will commence at 2:00p.m. followed by a reception.
