Douglas Wray Sibley

Passed away suddenly at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. Douglas leaves behind his devoted wife of 63 years Jean Sibley (nee Nichol). He was the loving father to the late David Wray Sibley & Sam Waldron (Doug). Grandfather to Tyler Gouveia (Jenna), Brandon Gouveia (Jess), Zac Gouveia (Chihiro), Miya Waldron (Derek) & Dexter Sibley. Great grandfather to Hannah, Owen & Baby Leonard. Predeceased by his siblings Geraldine Brillinger & Bruce Sibley. Now at rest with his beloved dog Harley, who passed away a day prior to Douglas. 

Doug had a long 37 year career with the Ministry of Natural Resources, taking an early retirement at 53.  He spent his time after retirement doing the things he loved.  Hunting with his buddies, running his hounds, taking care of his gardens and greenhouse, spending time with Jean and socializing with the neighbours.  All that knew him, knew he was a real force of nature, doing his best to cause trouble and stir the pot whenever he could.  He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

As per Douglas’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
